VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are a number of reasons to volunteer!

You may want to continue your participation in a long held work activity, explore a new area of interest, and meet new friends while actively participating in the community.

  • ABILITY360

ABILITY360 Trains and deploys volunteers to provide peer support, advocacy, and participate in other activities to benefit our community. These volunteers are generally people with disabilities who have successfully achieved independent living in their own life and are willing to assist others to achieve their independent living and employment goals.

  • Arizona Department of Veterans' Services

Help us Help our Veterans. Volunteers are the constant reminder to our Veterans that the community appreciates the sacrifices they have made for our Country.

  • ArizonaSERVES

Budget cuts within state government have resulted in reduced or limited funding for services for our most vulnerable - the elderly, disabled and low income residents. With the assistance of the Arizona Department of Economic Security, ArizonaSERVES will connect faith-based and non-profit organizations to help meet those needs.

  • Arizona Volunteer Registration System

Select an Arizona County and register to become a part of the volunteer network in your community.

  • Corporation for National & Community Service

More than 12,000 people of all ages and backgrounds are helping to meet local needs, strengthen communities, and increase civic engagement through national service projects across Arizona.

  • Foster Grandparent Program

Foster Grandparents are individuals age 60 and over who thrive on direct interaction with children and believe they can make a difference in their lives. Income-eligible Foster Grandparents receive a modest stipend to help offset the costs of volunteering.

  • Long Term Care Ombudsman Program

The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program depends on the generosity of volunteers to help in protecting the most frail and vulnerable Arizona citizens.

  • State Health Insurance Assistance Program(SHIP)

SHIP volunteers are needed throughout Arizona to answer questions regarding Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, Part D Prescription Drug Benefits and Health Insurance. SHIP volunteers are trained and determine their own volunteer schedule.

  • Volunteer Match

Strengthening communities by making it easier for good people and good causes to connect.
