Finding Resources

We hope that you have found the information on this Website useful. When you follow the links in each section of the Options Counselor, you will find a wealth of resources. If you have more questions, or if you are looking for specific services or assistance, try the following:

  • You may want to begin by talking with your physician, family members, or friends who are or have been in a similar situation.

  • Attend community events, such as health fairs or classes in community centers and libraries. Speakers and companies often present information at such events, and you do not have to buy anything.

  • There are many agencies that provide services such as housekeeping, personal care, nursing, transportation, friendly visitors, respite, durable medical equipment and minor home repair just to name a few. Many of these companies have Websites so that you can learn about their services.

  • Area Agencies on Aging, Centers for Independent Living and other organizations throughout Arizona can answer your questions and help you find resources. Addresses and phone numbers are listed so that you can contact them directly. Many of these organizations are partners in AZ Links, Arizona’s Aging and Disability Resource Center.
